Chobe National Park
Chobe National Park is a renowned wildlife sanctuary in northern Botswana, famed for some of Africa’s highest animal densities. The Chobe River sustains lush habitats, attracting large herds of elephants, buffalo, hippos, antelope, lions, giraffes, wild dogs, leopards, and exceptional birdlife. Game viewing here offers frequent up-close wildlife encounters.
Savuti
Savuti is a remote wildlife region within Chobe National Park, less visited than the riverfront areas. It is celebrated for its thriving populations of bull elephants, lions, leopards, wild dogs, zebra, wildebeest, ostrich, and tsessebe, set against dramatic landscapes.
Khwai
The Khwai Community Concession borders the Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve. Managed by the local Khwai community, it offers mid-range to luxury safari lodges and campsites along the Khwai River. The river acts as a key wildlife corridor between Moremi and Chobe, making the area ideal for serene wildlife viewing and a natural stopover on safari.
Moremi Game Reserve
Nestled in the central and eastern Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve combines floodplains, waterways, forests, and grasslands into one of Africa’s richest ecosystems. Home to abundant game and over 400 bird species, it now includes both black and white rhino, making it a Big Five destination with spectacular wildlife and scenic diversity.
Okavango Delta
The Okavango Delta is one of the world’s largest inland freshwater wetlands in northern Botswana. Fed by the Okavango River, its sprawling seasonal floods create lush habitats for wildlife. Visitors enjoy unique mokoro canoe excursions and abundant game viewing across grassy plains, islands, and waterways.
Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls, on the Zambia–Zimbabwe border, is one of the world’s most magnificent waterfalls. Known for its breathtaking scale and powerful cascades, it offers unforgettable natural beauty and vibrant surrounding landscapes — a must-visit wonder often paired with Botswana safaris.
Nxai Pan National Park
Nxai Pan National Park includes the expansive grass-covered Nxai Pan, part of the greater Makgadikgadi salt flats. After summer rains, the plains come alive with migrating zebras, wildebeest, and other grazers. The area also features iconic Baines’ Baobabs and classic open-savannah wildlife viewing.
Central Kalahari Game Reserve
Central Kalahari Game Reserve is one of the world’s largest game reserves, set in Botswana’s Kalahari Desert. Its vast open plains, salt pans, and river valleys support species such as giraffe, gemsbok, springbok, cheetah, hyena, wild dog, and the famed black-maned Kalahari lion. With seasonal rains, the desert bursts into life, offering exceptional summer wildlife experiences.
